Save the Date!!Friday 26 July, the stadium will host the Tigers Electrolux Commercial Cup as its annual fundraising event. This is a video horse race and games night, with silent auction (lots of valuable sporting memorabilia up for grabs!). The doors open at 630pm with the first race beginning at 7pm. The bar will be open and hot food will be available. Tickets are $10.00 per person for tables of ten, which includes a Race Program and complimentary wine tasting.
Canteen: we're looking for some casual staff OR volunteersto join our pool of casual canteen workers. We're looking for someone to do a Monday or Wednesday shift from 3.30pm to 8pm in the stadium canteen during term time. Whether you are a player, spectator, coach or official, there is simply no place for racism or discrimination in sport. Everyone deserves a fair go regardless of their skin colour, background or culture. Play by the Rules and the Australian Human Rights Commission have partnered to produce a new TV Community Service Announcement (CSA) which promotes this message: Watch the video before its official release here, featuring an all-star cast of Australia’s best known sporting heroes including: Adam Goodes (Sydney Swans), Greg Inglis (South Sydney Rabbitohs and Queensland Origin), Sally Pearson (2012 Olympic Gold Medallist in Hurdles), Peter Siddle (Australian Cricket Team), Archie Thompson (Melbourne Victory and Socceroos), Nick Maxwell (Collingwood Magpies), Liz Cambage (Opals Basketball), Cameron Smith (Melbourne Storm and Australian Kangaroos captain), Mo'onia Gerrard (Sydney Swifts and Australian Netball Team), Drew Mitchell (New South Wales Waratahs and Australian Wallabies), Timana Tahu (Newcastle Knights), and the 2013 AFL Indigenous All-Stars, together with some grassroots athletes of different ages and backgrounds.
